BAYLEY JOHN EDMENDS

About

Bayley John Edmends is a true triple-threat performer and one of Australia’s most in-demand musical theatre artists. Over the past decade, he has moved seamlessly from show to show, earning a reputation for his talent, professionalism, and incredible stage presence.

Bayley trained at Sydney’s prestigious Brent Street Studios. Upon graduating, he launched straight into a dynamic professional career, performing as a dancer with artists including Kelly Rowland, Samantha Jade, and Elk Road. He appeared on The Voice Australia as a dancer and ABC’s Ready For This as a featured vocalist, as well as performing internationally aboard Norwegian Cruise Lines.

His musical theatre debut came in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, followed by being cast in the first Australian production of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, which was unfortunately cancelled due to the global pandemic. Bayley quickly rebounded, performing in Australia’s first post-COVID production, PIPPIN The Musical, and then securing a coveted ensemble position in the original Australian cast of Moulin Rouge! The Musical (Global Creatures). This very popular production toured nationally to full houses and saw Bayley perform as a vocalist at the iconic Carols by Candlelight.

Next for Bayley was the much-loved musical Wicked (XRoads) where he covered and performed the role of Boq throughout the season to strong critical and audience acclaim.

Bayley is currently performing the role of Elder Thomas in the Australian production of The Book of Mormon (TJG).

A gifted actor with training from Screenwise, Bayley is also consistently expanding his screen career, with appearances under his belt so far in a Toyota TVC, the feature film Pacific Rim, and Dance Academy: The Comeback.

With his passion, skill, and unstoppable momentum, Bayley is just getting started.
