REYNEL REYNALDO

About

Hailing from Florida, USA, Reynel Reynaldo is a dynamic and versatile performer whose career spans musical theatre, commercial dance and choreography. He trained at Southeast Missouri State University, earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. During his time there, his passionate advocacy for representation in the arts saw him found a BIPOC student group, creating meaningful opportunities for greater inclusion within the theatre and dance departments, a group that continues to thrive today. His commitment to uplifting diverse voices remains central to both his artistry and the work he chooses to pursue.

Reynel’s love for theatre began at a young age after seeing a production of West Side Story, an experience that ignited his determination to pursue a life on stage. That early inspiration set him on a path toward a professional career defined by range, musicality and heart.

He began his professional journey in South Florida, working extensively with Slow Burn Theatre Company and Actors’ Playhouse, companies he credits as instrumental in his artistic growth. His regional theatre credits include Shrek the Musical (Donkey), Head Over He Heels, Once on This Island and Matilda (Slow Burn Theatre Company), Mamma Mia! (Actors’ Playhouse), and In the Heights (Adrienne Arsht Center). Known for his adaptability and strong ensemble presence, Reynel thrives in both featured roles and swing positions.

Alongside performing, Reynel is deeply passionate about choreography and movement storytelling. His choreography credits include The Bodyguard, The Prom and The SpongeBob Musical for Slow Burn Theatre Company, all directed by Patrick Fitzwater, as well as SIX: Teen Edition for Panther Theatre, where he served as Director and Choreographer. His work on The Bodyguard, The Prom and The SpongeBob Musical earned Carbonell Award nominations, further cementing his reputation as an exciting creative voice. His dual perspective as both performer and choreographer allows him to lead with clarity and collaboration.

In addition to his theatre work, Reynel has built an impressive commercial dance résumé. He has performed alongside Flo Rida and Sage the Gemini, and appeared at major events for the NBA, NFL and the U.S. Open, as well as with recording artist Natalie La Rose.

Reynel toured nationally in the United States with The Book of Mormon as a Swing and On Your Feet! in the ensemble, understudying Kenny. He is now making his Australian debut in The Book of Mormon (TJG) as Swing and Dance Captain. FWD MGMT is thrilled to represent Reynel on his Australian journey.
