SIMON DONOVAN
About
Simon is an accomplished Musical Theatre performer and talented screen actor who hails from the UK. Simon is a graduate of Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts where he trained under Paul Sabey who cast him, whilst in his final year, to play Tony in the academy’s production of West Side Story. Other credits whilst training, included Al Deluca in A Chorus Line, Danny in The Rink and Enoch Snow in Carousel.
Simon then made his professional debut in Evita (Bill Kenwright Productions), performing in the ensemble in renowned opera houses across the UK and Europe.
Simon was later invited to sing Marius in Les Misérables with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra for the show’s 25th Anniversary. He went on to create his very own one-man concert, ’Til I Hear You Sing, featuring members of the orchestra and conducted by Simon D’vorsak, which then toured Slovenia in 2014.
Simon’s theatre credits also include: playing Jean Bilodeau in Lilies (UK Premier and Tour) for which he earned a Best Actor Nomination at the Dublin International Theatre Festival; Through the Door (Trafalgar Studios); and Crazy for You (London Palladium).
On screen, Simon has had roles in The Best Possible Taste (BBC4) and Living with Jesus (Pilot) as well as various television advertising campaigns.
Simon was last seen on stage in the UK as Ambrose (u/s Cornelius Hackle) in Hello, Dolly! (Leicester Curve).
